[Listen] 有錢人該不該多繳稅?

 

有錢人不會創造就業機會，Nick Hanauer從這個論點出發，如果我們不課富人稅，是因為怕課富人稅之後，有錢人減少誘因導致工作機會也銳減，那真是大錯特錯，就像我們曾以為地球是宇宙的中心一樣。

工作機會的增加來自於富裕的中產階級，中產階級才是最大宗的消費者，當他們富裕且願意消費，市場的需求提高後，企業才會聘更多的人來滿足需求。，工作機會在此時增加。這才是經濟運作的迴圈，而中產階級迴圈裡是最大的驅動者。相反的，有錢人和一般人一樣，只會買幾件衣服，偶爾和親朋好友聚餐，不會因為特別有錢就買3000台車子。Nick Hanauer於是主張課富人稅，從有錢人那裏拿錢來投資於社會和中產階級，當中產階級富裕增加消費的時候，有錢人也通常是那些企業擁有者也跟著獲益。

有趣的問題是，如果你是那些有錢人當中的一份子，你的成功也是靠你不停努力達成的，好不容易來到有錢階級時，政府所要加重稅金，從你的口袋拿出更多的錢，你願意嗎? 你也許會覺得，你的財富和別人是你努力換來的，為什麼因為金額比較多，就要被課比較多稅。Nick Hanauer想說的也許是，你現在不做投資(在中產階級)，當所有財富都集中在金字塔頂端的時候，你不一定是受益者，因為經濟的迴圈即將失效，社會也只會越來越動盪不安。

這當然還有另一個問題，就是實行社會正義的政府，能不能有效的利用這筆從富人拿來的錢，讓所謂的「投資」於中產階級，可以看到成效。理想中，何謂實質的正義，怎樣才是有效的措施，需要全民一起參與討論溝通，再透過政府去執行。如果我們想得不夠遠，沒辦法有更多人加入「我們」，替多數人和整體社會著想，那社會正義就會離我們越來越遠吧
